Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra vs eufy X10 Pro Omni: which self-emptying robot?
Both docks empty, wash and dry, so the day-to-day experience is closer than the price gap suggests. The Roborock earns its premium on obstacle avoidance — its camera system reliably dodges phone cables, socks and pet mess, which is exactly the failure that turns a robot vacuum into a chore. The eufy costs far less and cleans just as well in a tidy house, but it will eat a charging cable left on the floor. If your home has children, pets or a lot of floor clutter, the Roborock's avoidance genuinely pays for itself. If your floors are usually clear, the eufy is the smarter buy by a wide margin.

Prices & specsCommon questions
Do these actually replace vacuuming?
For maintenance cleaning, largely yes. You will still want a stick vacuum for stairs, upholstery and edges that no robot reaches properly.
How much space does the dock need?
Both docks are large — plan for roughly 40cm of width with clearance in front. They also need a power point, so choose the spot before you buy.
